1) How many children do they have?
According to Richard in a radio interview in Oct 2004, 13 between them.

2) Who is the woman in 'Mein teil'?
There are two, the black girl who is Till's 'angel', and the other woman is Schneider!
3) I am confused, I found two songs called 'Ohne dich' by Rammstein on Emule?
One is'Ohne Dich' by Rammstein from 'Reise Reise', released in 2004. The other is usually 'Freiflug' by Megaherz. There are dozens of other songs mislabelled as 'Ohne Dich' on various file sharing systems. The 'real' 'Ohne Dich' can be found on 'Reise Reise'.
4) Where can I find information about Rammstein's old bands?

5) Where can I find translations of Rammstein's lyrics?
Herzeleid.com has very well known ones.
We have translations here too, on the Verboten Forum.
When you read a translation keep in mind that translating from one language to another is not an exact science. Also Rammstein's lyrics are frequently ambiguous, which is deliberate. They have stated on more than one occasion that it is up to the listener to interpret them, and make their own decisions as to what they mean.
6) Someone told me 'Mein teil' is about a cannibal?
The song was written in reference to Armin Miewes, who was jailed for 8 1/2 years in 2004 for the manslaughter of Bernd Jürgen Armando Brandes, a man he had met online, befriended and who had agreed to be eaten.

7) I heard Rammstein are breaking up?
No, they aren't. They had problems during and after 'Mutter'. These appear to have been resolved...thankfully.
8) Is Richard starting another band?
Richard has been working on a solo/non-Rammstein project for some time. Nothing has been made public as yet.
Although he recently spoke about in an interview. It wiil be called 'Emigrate', it in involves no other Rammstein bandmembers. Rich will sing on the songs and in English too. He is funding it himself and hopes it will be recorded in 2005.
9) What is 'Messer'?
'Messer' was a collection of Till's poetry published in 2002.
Copies of the book were fairly hard to come but it has recentlky been reprinted by demand and can be purchased from the publishing house Eichborn.de
10) What is Richard's name?
Richard Z. Kruspe. In a radio interview in 2004 he spelt out 'Zwenn' for the interviewer as the answer to his middle name. He did add Bernstein to his name in 1999 when he married, but now divorced he has since dropped this. He was also previously known as Sven Kruspe.
11) Who is Heiko Hiersche?
It was Paul Landers. Paul is his middle name and he took his first wife's surname.
12) Is Flake a real Doctor, and what does 'Flake' mean?
No. The 'Dr' in his name is an affection/nickname. 'Flake' according to Flake has no real meaning.
13) Was Till an Olympic swimmer?
No he wasn't, but he was junior vice-European champion.
14) Does Till really sodomise other band members on stage?
No, it's all an act. Till uses a dildo that squirts a mixture of pernod and water over the crowd. (Originally a mixture of milk and water was used, but that smelt too badly.)
But it is an act that has caused problems. In Worcester Massachusetts on 5th June 1999, Till and Flake Lorenz were arrested and charged with lewd and lascivious behavior. A statement from Sgt. Thomas Radula of the Worcester Police Dept. stated that Till was simulating sex with Flake onstage 'using a phallic object that shot water over the crowd'. They were held and released the following day on $25 bail. After months of legal debate they were eventually fined $100.
15) Why does Till roll his 'R's when he sings?
Till: 'The rolling "R" didn't arise deliberately. It originated from itself because in that deep pitch you automatically sing that way. I'm no musician in the actual meaning. I don't know anything about instruments. But I'm supporting our music with my voice and lyrics well. It's a question of illustration, timbre and phonetics. We don't want to - for heaven's sake - create a fascist-like style. Only when already some time had passed we had to deal with that when asked in an interview.'
16) Are Rammstein Nazis?
No. Are all Russian's Communists? Or all Japanese Kamikaze? Or all Spaniards Fascists?
Rammstein have repeatedly stated they have no Nazi leanings what-so-ever. For anyone to believe otherwise is complete fantasy.

22) I have been told that the CD 'Reise Reise' contains the sound recording of a plane crash, but I can't hear it?
On American releases the recording from the black box flight recorder of the plane crash can be heard at the beginning of the CD. On other releases you have to 'rewind' the CD, or take it back into negative time to be able to hear this recording. At the time of writing this(11/04) FAQ the whole recording can be heard at

Herzeleid.com used to have trading forums but bootleg trading is fraught with problems. Try finding other forums that are friendly towards bootleg sharing and ask around. NEVER pay for bootlegs. 26) Was one of them injured making the video for 'Ich will'?
Paul sustained a superficial head wound due to the ferocity of the special forces guys throwing them to the ground during as part of the filming.
27) I heard that Snow White in 'Sonne' was really a guy?
Yes, in some shots it was. The actress's head was super-imposed on a basketball players body for certain shots, to make the band members look smaller.
