Kuschelrock-Alarm bei Rammstein
Was ist nur los bei den wilden Herren?
So romantisch-sanft ist die neue CD

Gerade wurden Rammstein bei den World Music Awards als deutsche Gruppe mit den meisten Verkäufen geehrt. Jetzt sind die Fans aufs neue Album gespannt. Das heißt "Rosenrot", erscheint am 28. Oktober. B.Z. durfte vorlauschen - Song für Song.

1. "Benzin" Es geht gleich voll auf die Zwölf. Rammsteins unverkennbare Gitarren-Walzen krachen, und Till Lindemann macht auf Pyromane. Textlich ohne Tiefgang, musikalisch nicht originell. Die bisher schwächste Single.

2. "Mann gegen Mann" Macho Till macht auf schwul: "In meiner Kette fehlt kein Glied, wenn die Lust von hinten zieht." Nicht schlecht, aber der neue Hit vom Christopher Street Day wird das nicht.

3. "Rosenrot" Rammstein verschmelzen das Märchen "Schneeweißchen und Rosenrot" mit Goethes "Heideröslein". Gelungener Poeten-Rock!

4. "Spring" Ein Selbstmörder steht auf der Brücke. Und Rammstein singen, wie es ist: Wir Voyeure da unten wollen, daß er springt.

5. "Wo bist du" Ein Song aus der Abteilung "Rauher Kerl, weicher Kern". Till hat Liebesschmerz, weint sich durch den Song.

6. "Zerstören" Brutal, ohne Moral, ohne Gefühl - Rammstein spielen mit ihrem Image. "Und jetzt die Königsdisziplin: ein Köpfchen von der Puppe ziehen."

7. "Te Quiero Puta" Der Überraschungssong. Till singt spanisch. Zu einem Sound, der auch auf dem Ballermann die Schenkelklopfer in Aktion bringen würde.

8. "Feuer und Wasser" Trotz Goethe-Verehrung ist Till nicht zum Johann Wolfgang von Rammstein mutiert. Hier schielt er nicht auf Lyrik-Preise: "Wenn sie brustschwimmt, ist das schön, dann kann ich in ihr Zentrum sehen."

9. "Ein Lied" Dazu kann man getrost Babys in den Schlaf schaukeln. Mit Kuschelrock-Stimme erfleht Till unser Wohlwollen: "Wir sind die Diener deiner Ohren, . . ., immer wenn ihr traurig seid, spielen wir für euch."

Ein, zwei weitere Songs werden gerade kräftig im Studio gemixt, durften noch nicht vorgehört werden!

B.Z.-Fazit: Geniale Momente und Durchschnittliches: "Rosenrot" ist ein Wechselbad, textlich wie musikalisch. Vorgänger "Reise, Reise" hatte mehr Knaller und Hitpotential.

Recently Rammstein won the World Music award as Germany's best selling band. Now the fans wait for the new album. It is called "Rosenrot", is going to be released on 28 October. B.Z. had the opportunity to listen to it- song by song.

1. "Benzin" Full bang. The typical Rammstein guitar-rolls bang, and Till Lindemann acts as pyro-addict. Lyrics without deeper meaning, musically not very genuine. Poorest single yet.

2. "Mann gegen Mann" Macho Till acts like a queer. "In my chain there is no link missing, when lust drags from behind". Not bad, but it wont be the new hit for CSD.

3. "Rosenrot" Rammstein melt the fairy tale "Snowwhite and Rosered" with Goethe's poem "Heideröslein". Well done poetical rock.

4. "Spring" A suicide candidate is standing on a bridge. And Rammstein sing how things are: the voyeurs in us want to see him jump.

5. Wo bist Du" A song from the section "raw shell, soft inside" Till has heart ache, cries himself through the song.

6. "Zerstören" Brutal, without any moral, without any emotions – Rammstein play with their image. "And now the discipline only for the best: taking the head of the puppet" (as far as I understand this, killing is the top 1 job only for the best)

7. "Te quiero puta". A surprising song. Till sings in Spanish to a sound which could be a funny hit in the Ballerman on Majorca.

8. "Feuer und Wasser" Although Till adores Goethe he has not transformed into Johann Wolfgang von Rammstein. He does not look for lyric awards when singing: "when she does breast-stroke that is nice because I can see right into her centre (I think he means cleavage here).

9. "Ein Lied" That, for sure, you can use as a lullaby. With a snuggle up voice Till implores our good-will:" we are the servants of your ears, ..., whenever you are sad we will play for you"

One or two more songs momentarily are in the mixing; we weren't allowed to hear them yet!

Summary: some ace moments and some average. "Rosenrot" is an up and down, concerning lyrics as well as music. The predecessor "Reise, Reise" had more big bangs and more hit potential.
