Rammstein: Fired up! Kerrang! – 13 Oct 2001
Kerrang! magazine 13-Oct-01
Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann wears an explosive new piece of headgear in the band’s increasingly outrageous live show. Rammstein’s rescheduled UK date will take place at London’s Brixton Academy on December 2. Rammstein intend to bring their full stage show for the date, which was rescheduled after their last-minute London Astoria cancellation earlier this year.
The band have sorted out the problems, which caused the Astoria postponement. Expect lots of exploding hats, outrageous pyrotechnics and plenty of leather trousers.
The Berlin boys have recorded a cover of the Ramones’ “Pet Sematary”. The band supported the Ramones in their 1996 German tour and became good friends with the late Joey Ramone and his cohorts.
The cover song was recorded as a tribute to the recently deceased punk legend and will be included on their new single, “Ich will”. No UK release date for the single has been scheduled at present. We’ll keep you posted on further developments.
