Comeback for Germany’s hottest rock band!
After nearly two-years break Rammstein are back again at full power with the single “Sonne”. The accompanying video is a fairy-tale spectacular: a scandalous version of Snow White. Bravo was at the video-shoot in Potsdam-Babelsberg.

The pneumatic hammer roars deep in the Earth’s belly! The six miners are like possessed rogues. Gold is their only desired goal. Their eyes shine with a feverish glow from unrecognisable faces blackened with soot. Only gradually it dawns on the fans. The black men in the pit are Olli, Till, Flake, Paul, Schneider and Richard from Rammstein. Germany’s hottest rock band.

With this dark mining scene video they begin their comeback with the single “Sonne”. The 3-minute 58 spectacular has a typical Rammstein touch with its suggestive images directed at the subconscious of the viewer. The story in the video-clip is a new version of the most well known fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm – Snow White. “We are the six dwarves”, explains front man Till. “We wanted to shed new light on the deeper meaning of this traditional story".

The children’s’ fairy-tale deals with death and resurrection, love and horror, sex and intoxication, greed and repressed feelings. In the songs lyrics Till sings of the dual nature of the sun as benefactor: “The sun shines from my hands, it can burn, it can dazzle you…”

Snow White brings light and love, but in addition, pain and despair into the slave’s world of daily tasks. When the giant dominatrix appears in the black hole all the heads of the “Rammstein dwarves" look up as one. The “masochistic guys” head back to the evil woman. With obvious delight Paul and Flake allow their naked backsides to be thrashed by her. A fall follows the climax of desire: Snow White dies by a golden syringe needle.

“The enormous girl was in fact a boy" grins Flake “A 2.12m tall guy played Snow White. The charming face was then superimposed at the end by computer ".
