Metal Hammer publish a supplement listing what they believe to be the top 50 bands you must see before you die – Rammstein are featured at number 11

Emerging out of former East Germany in the mid-90s, despite their adamant refusal to bow to popular convention and sing in English, Rammstein soon became one of Europe's most popular metal box office draws, assisted by a technical production which becomes bigger and more outrageous with every successive tour. Whether your tastes run to thunderous explosions, vocalists in flames or a giant prosthetic penis which ejaculates *green slime, Rammstein has them all. Falsely accused of being fascists by critics in the past, the band nonetheless inspire a political rally style response from their audiences.
